Manhattan (May 13, 2013) – Solairus Aviation announced today that industry veteran Bob Marinace has been appointed as Executive Vice President, effective immediately. Marinace brings over 30 years of aviation experience to Solairus and has held senior leadership positions for several business aviation service companies. A specialist in organizational development, Marinace has extensive experience in large fleet operations, sales, client services, process improvement, and a proven track record of business development. Marinace has also served on the National Air Transportation Association Board of Directors, the Air Charter Safety Foundation Executive Board, and has been a member of several FAA Aviation regulatory and advisory groups. Marinace has also received the coveted Flight Safety Foundation and NBAA Safety Awards.

Working from Solairus’ Manhattan office, Marinace will continue to develop the company’s expansion on the East Coast.

“Solairus has experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the past twelve months, as the market is clearly responding to its decentralized and transparent approach towards aircraft management,” Marinace explained. “Personally, I have also been especially impressed with Solairus’ strategy of ensuring that the necessary infrastructure needed to support a substantial East Coast management and charter sales effort was in place prior to expanding the fleet. Serving as the company’s new Executive Vice President, I look forward to helping the team build on its East Coast momentum, while discovering and capturing new business opportunities abroad.”

For Solairus Chairman and CEO, Dan Drohan, Marinace’s appointment is the latest proof that Solairus has become a destination employer.

“I am a firm believer that business aviation is a people business where talented individuals create your competitive advantage,” Drohan said. “Our executive team has always placed our clients’ satisfaction, company-wide safety, and the well being of our staff ahead of outside interests and distractions. Solairus is about people, not planes. These priorities are starting to catch the industry’s attention, leading Solairus to become a destination employer that is capable of attracting an executive of Bob’s caliber. Bob is certain to make an immediate impact in our East Coast efforts as he leverages decades of successful leadership in what is easily one of the world’s most competitive markets. He’ll be tasked with fleet development, increasing our charter sales presence, identifying new marketing and partnership opportunities, and flying the Solairus flag high above our Manhattan office for our locally based clients. Working alongside a talented regional charter sales team and a network of flight coordinators in the area, Bob is sure to build upon our existing East Coast success.”
