Petaluma, CA based Sunset Aviation, LLC, one of the premier aviation services companies in the nation, is pleased to announce receipt of its Part 135 Air Carrier certificate. This will allow Sunset to expand their service offerings to the private travel marketplace and provide their managed aircraft owners a supplemental revenue source.
Although the Sunset Aviation name was well known, Sunset Aviation LLC is a newly formed company that is focused on developing a strong name in the private aviation services industry. The new Sunset was formed by an experienced and established team of industry veterans from various backgrounds, including the founders of the original Sunset Aviation.

Sunset currently manages a diverse mix of Turboprop and Turbojet aircraft based at various airports across the country. Many of these aircraft will be added to the charter certificate. “We have many owners anxious to place their aircraft on our new certificate. We anticipate 20-25 aircraft will be added over the coming weeks.” added Greg Petersen, Sunset’s COO.
In addition to the Part 135 Certificate, Sunset Aviation LLC provides aircraft management and acquisition services to the private aviation sector. Sunset has established an office in Burlingame, CA that supports certain senior management staff and specializes in its large cabin management services.
