Private Charter Vendor Standards and Approval Process


Standards

ARG/US and Wyvern Wingman Logos

Vendors must be ARG/US Platinum, Wyvern Wingman Certified, or at a minimum have implemented the core elements of a Safety Management System. Individual trips must pass a Green Trip Cheq from ARG/US or have a Wyvern PASS report.

Less Than or Equal to 25 Years Old

All aircraft must be 25 years old or newer; any aircraft from a non-certified operator or older than 20 years old must pass an additional approval process audited by Solairus personnel. This Solairus audit investigates the aircraft’s service history, maintenance records, FAA, insurance coverage and a thorough review of the operator’s safety management system.

All flights must be operated with two qualified pilots, no single pilot operations.


Approval Process

All charter operators must go through the following review and approval process:

Submit required documents for
review and approval:

  • Air Carrier Certificate DO85
  • Proof of Insurance
  • COI naming Solairus as additional insured
  • Aircraft Qualification Form
  • Signed Vendor Agreement
  • SMS Component Implementation

Run a full ARG/US CheqReport or Wyvern PASS report on the charter operator:

Reports reviewed and approved by:

  • Director, Charter Sales
  • VP of Flight Ops/Chief Pilot
  • Safety Manager
  • COO

Aircraft older than 20 years
must have:

  • Approved maintenance inspection form
  • Proof of maintenance by certified
    technicians and authorized repair stations

Approved aircraft considerations:

  • Aircraft type
  • Aircraft age
  • Maintenance practices
  • Interior/exterior conditions
