Aviation industry dignitary further expands executive team’s capability.
SAN FRANCISCO (Oct 11, 2010) –
Solairus Aviation announced today that Roger McMullin has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. As an aviation industry leader, McMullin’s appointment is the latest step in Solairus Aviation’s continuing efforts to expand and increase its operational capability and define its future.
McMullin’s career has been especially notable; he is a UC Berkeley graduate who served in Vietnam as a USMC F-4 pilot before becoming one of the founding partners of Aviation Methods in 1976, the company that would later become TAG Aviation USA. McMullin would go on to become the CEO of TAG Aviation Holding in Geneva, where he oversaw the acquisition and development of the world-renowned, multiple award-winning TAG London Farnborough Airport.
Bringing his extensive business aviation knowledge to Solairus, McMullin is eager to use his experience to help with the company’s continued growth.
“Solairus has great promise and I’m looking forward to working with Dan and the rest of the board,” McMullin stated. “I have experienced the various growth phases of the aircraft management business, from start-up to managing a large aviation company with international interests. My hope is that this experience will be of some value to the Solairus management team as the company continues to expand. I have been following the company’s development closely, and it is refreshing to see an organization so dedicated to the welfare of its employees and customers.”
Solairus Chairman and CEO Dan Drohan is delighted to see industry leaders drawn to the Solairus team.
“We could not be more excited about Roger’s participation,” Drohan stated. “His wealth of experience will support what I already believe is one of the industry’s most impressive management teams and I am honored to have him on board. Solairus is continuing to expand every day, and as our plans take us into new markets with burgeoning opportunities, we will rely on Roger’s guidance and counsel to help us achieve our goals. Roger shares our belief that great people are the most important asset in our business and that they are critical to our success.”
