Experienced sales executive joins Solairus management team.
Manhattan (September 25, 2013) – Solairus Aviation has strengthened its charter sales team once again with the recent announcement that industry veteran Paul Class has been appointed Senior Vice President of Charter Sales. Class brings to Solairus over two decades of experience in the private aviation charter industry. Class’ career includes building sales teams for national aircraft management and charter companies through organic growth as well as team integrations through mergers and acquisitions. Class was the Vice President of Charter Sales at TAG Aviation for nearly ten years, posting consistent double-digit growth while creating national and international sales teams, with offices throughout the world. Class has also served on the National Air Transportation Association’s Air Charter Committee, promoting the interests of Part 135 operators and addressing regulatory and legislative issues. He is a private pilot and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lynn University with a concentration in aviation management.
Looking to hit the ground running in his new position, Class is eager to capitalize on Solairus’ momentum.
“Solairus has gained phenomenal charter market share during an incredibly tumultuous business climate, a fact that clearly indicates their ability to communicate and satisfy their clients’ discerning needs,” Class stated. “I’ve always admired Solairus’ absolute commitment to safety and their dedication to providing a true concierge level of service to all of their passengers.”
“As low-cost charter start-ups continually erode client expectations and dilute the private air charter experience, it has become increasingly important to communicate the irreplaceable services that premiere charter operators provide,” Class continued. “As Solairus Aviation’s Senior Vice President of Charter Sales, my first goal will be to help our clients, especially those new to private aviation, fully understand their options and to work with them to find the perfect solution to safely satisfy their needs.”
Solairus Chairman and CEO, Dan Drohan, believes that Class’ appointment is a testament to the company’s ability to attract the private aviation industry’s brightest talent.
“Paul will be a tremendous addition to our management team and will play an important leadership role in our expanded charter sales effort,” Drohan said. “I’ve always maintained the philosophy that people are the most important asset a company can have, which is why we work so hard to be a destination employer. Paul’s appointment is the latest testament to Solairus’ ability to attract professionals who identify with our core beliefs of Safety and Service.”
“There is no mistake that the charter market is highly disrupted with price-driven operators and brokers looking to commoditize the private aviation experience,” Drohan continued. “I look forward to working with Paul to build on our ability to successfully communicate the Solairus difference in this continually challenging market.”
