San Francisco (April 29, 2013) – Solairus Aviation has reaffirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to safety with today’s announcement of a successful completion of the Wyvern Wingman audit. Wyvern is a global leader in aviation safety auditing, consulting, and information services, providing one of the most rigorous onsite safety auditing packages in the world. By passing the onsite Wingman audit, Solairus has also agreed to Wyvern’s post-auditing procedures by actively participating in their data management program. Solairus verifies flights are Wyvern-compliant by providing due diligence reports on current aircraft and crew data compared to the Wyvern standard. Wyvern’s database then verifies Solairus’ information, which ensures a constant validation of their Wingman safety certification.
Working together with Wyvern throughout the pre-planning, onsite audit, and post-audit evaluation phases, Solairus’ Flight Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Training departments demonstrated their expert knowledge of safe private aviation operational practices, and a thorough comprehension of the rigorous Wyvern Wingman standard.
“Every day, with every flight, Solairus must constantly strive to uphold and strengthen the most important service that we provide – safety,” stated Dan Drohan, Chairman and CEO of Solairus Aviation. “As a global leader in aviation safety, Wyvern passionately supports our philosophy, and we are extremely proud to be a certified Wyvern Wingman. Our VP of Flight Operations, Tom Benvenuto, and our VP of Maintenance, Rene Cervantes, rallied their staff to ensure that they knew the Wyvern standard front to back and verified that all of our procedures adhered to those guidelines once the auditors visited us onsite. The teamwork and professionalism displayed by the Flight Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and Training departments throughout this process was truly impressive and this certification is a proud testament to their efforts and abilities.”
For Drohan, safety remains a key focus for Solairus as the company continues to further strengthen its processes and procedures.
“It is crucial that, as an organization, Solairus subjects itself to these objective expert opinions to verify that our internal efforts are operating at truly exceptional levels of performance,” Drohan continued. “Now that this latest accomplishment has been obtained we will continue our unrelenting commitment to find new techniques and technologies that will further strengthen our safety program. This has been – and will continue to be – a huge priority for Solairus.”
